Here we have an original pressing of Oliver Nelson's seminal record The Blues & The Abstract Truth in excellent condition.
This is a MONO UK release on the HMV label.
Visually the record appears glossy and clean of marks, there are very few hairlines even, it presents very nicely.
The record has been fully play tested and plays through beautifully with no skips, needle sticks, or jumps. There is no audible groove wear/distortion
I test played this mono LP on a stereo system (so no groove noise would be cancelled out) and the condition is great, playing near mint throughout. The only audible blemish is very occasional light, unobtrusive surface noise and light and quiet ticks. It's a wonderfully musical and dynamic pressing in the preferred mono mix, a fine way to hear this brilliant and classic album.
The sleeve is in good condition for its age, with lines and colours appearing bold and striking. There are some bumps here and there (see pics) and the beginning of some fraying to the cover opening, but the seams and spine are strong. The back cover is clean and fairly bright for its age.
