The Jukebox EP ( also known as a Little LP (LLP), Jukebox LP, Mini LP or Compact 33) was a 7-inch vinyl record with up to three songs on each side, that played at 33 ⅓ rpm in stereo, and had a small center hole.
I consider the Jukebox EP to be the Ultimate "Promo" since it was authorized and licensed by both the artist and label, yet was manufactured and distributed by a third party. In addition, quantities made of these items were much smaller than the original 12" version - usually 5,000 - 7,000 copies at it's height and closer to 1,000 units at the end in the mid 1970's.
Oliver is a British musical, with music and lyrics by Lionel Bart. The musical is based upon the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Additionally, its 1968 film adaptation, directed by Carol Reed, was highly successful, winning six Academy Awards including Best Picture.
This copy is used. The record is used. The cover shows signs of water damage and the back shows sign of mold - please see photos for details. I do not clean recorrds, however the cover and record could use a cleaning, but I will leave that to the next owner. Included with this jukebox ep is a single title strip. These Jukebox EP's are wonderful pieces of American history and still highly collectible today - over 60 years after their debut. Finally, these EP's are nearly impossible to find complete with a title strip..
This extremely rare Jukebox EP is being sold from one collector to another.
