Description

This is a one of a kind. This is effectively a promo of an already extremely rare promo of Radiohead's 4 track 12" vinyl single Stop Whispering which was never officially released in the UK and was only available in very limited numbers. Why I say its a one of a kind and a promo of a promo was because this was a prototype copy the design and promotions team at Beatwax used to show the Band and EMI Records for their acceptance and was never intended to be used as an original promo copy. The cover is in near mint condition and only shows small signs of wear and tear and has been kept in a protective sleeve for most of its life and has an original Beatwax sticker on the front cover. Also on the front cover there is some writing which is in black felt tip but this is very neat. It has the number 92717 and the letters URB which are also on the record label. Both generally mean't that the design process was under review, again another indication that this was not intended to be even used as a promo. On the back of the cover it has promotional only not for resale printed on it and the catalogue number 12rdj6369. The record itself has been well used and does show light scratches, some of which can be heard on playing but it does still play great. The tracks are side 1 Ripcord and Prove Yourself and Side 2 Faithless the Wonder Boy and Stop Whispering. Why do I know all the history concerning this item. Well I worked for EMI and was involved in the whole process and I have had this record since. Unfortunately I do not own a turntable anymore but have checked the quality of the record on a friends.
