Description

Here we have an original copy of the sole album from the U.K. soft-psych band Ora on the German Metronome label from 1970 (a year after the U.K. Tangerine issue and with a different cover design). It’s featured in Hans Pokora’s 5001 Record Collector Dreams (where it gets 2 out of 6 discs for rarity) as well as the Galactic Ramble book – which doesn’t give this album anything near its due. This record is a MASTERPIECE, and I don’t use that term lightly – an exquisite Zombie-esque blend of folk and jazzy textures with echoey effects and bits of psych guitar thrown in for good measure. Absolutely in my all-time Top Ten for obscure LPs!.

The laminated cover is around VG++ with minor wear and creasing to the corners and edges, there’s a tiny cutout hole through the "O" in the bottom left, and a small colored-in tear on the back. The disc looks VG++ (and was sold to me as such years ago by Refugees) but plays more like VG+ with some scratching/scuffing on both sides. As it’s a pretty quiet record much of the time, it’s a bit crackly, but still listenable.
