Blast Off b/w Swinging The Rock - ALDEN HOLLOWAY (Dixie 45-2020)
Original 1959 rockabilly 45. Excellent rockin' 2-sider on this Starday subsidiary - A-side vocal, flip is an instrumental. Both tracks feature cool guitar & sax breaks & have been included on numerous rockabilly comps, I believe. The vinyl on this one looks extremely rough, like it's been run over by a truck. Normally, I would not even try to sell a disc whose appearance is this ugly. However, this plays surprisingly decent & I believe it's fairly hard to come by. I played it thru twice on my Music Hall MMF-5 turntable w/ Goldring cartridge @ 1.5 grams & had no issues in regards skips, repeats, etc. That's not to say it might not do as well on someone else's player. Therefore, no return on this one due to being unsatisfied with condition, I'm sorry.

Disc = looks G (lots of scuffing, but no deep gouges), but plays much better - some lite background pops here & there, a few more on the B-side; all-in-all, very listenable/Labels = some ring/label wear; small 'chip' in A-label
Grading is very strict & guaranteed. I use: NM/VG and +/- variables. I've been collecting/dealing vinyl for almost 40 years. Bid with confidence. Also, please note - I do not gouge on postage/shipping charges - shipping costs will be approximately what the post office charges me, give or take a bit. If I overestimate the cost, I will refund you.
