Description

To help finance a new record label, it's time to part w/ 'heavies' from the collection. Here is the second installment. Watch for '60s freakbeat/garage 'holy grail' 45s forthcoming in the near future.

Hard Life b/w Not Fade Away (Rampro R-118) by THE WHY FOUR

Truly fantastic original '60s garage 45, from Wisconsin, as featured on some Pebbles CD, maybe other comps too? Listed at #170 on the G45 list - to quote from there:

'before cutting this killer 45... guitarist Gerry Cain had been a member of the Benders, who released 'Can't Tame Me' in 1966, one of the greatest fuzzpunk 45s ever. Only slightly more restrained, this one features more of Cain's wicked fuzz lashings & a middle 8 which really lifts off. We estimate no more than 10 copies of this 45 in collections today.'

Actually, words don't do justice to how fabulous this cut is - including the great Jagger-like vocal. A truly amazing single.

Well, believe it or not, here's one of those estimated 10, it is available for bid and, this copy has been autographed by 2 former WHY FOUR members, including the esteemed fuzz guitar king, GERRY CAIN, himself! No reserve & a low starting bid, here is a rare chance to obtain an almost never offered garage classic.
