This auction is for a vintage reel-to-reel tape of the original Jimi Hendrix Experience album, Axis Bold as Love, produced by Reprise. I purchased this tape during the late 60s while stationed in Viet Nam. I have been without a reel-to-reel tape deck for many years, but, this tape was going strong at the time the tape deck gave out. This reel-to-reel tape has been stored in a clean, dry environment and is in good shape.
The original box shows some handling and shelf wear commensurate with its age, still has good color and eye appeal. The box is in solid shape with no splits, rips or tears. The hinge is good, no tears or splits. The tape reel itself has no cracks or breaks. The label is free of defects.
This reel-to-reel tape is one of nine that I purchased while serving in Viet Nam in the late 60s and that I will be listing for sale over the next couple of days including Country Joe & the Fish, Woodstock, Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin I, II and III, Peter Paul and Mary.
