Cressida "Asylum" Vertigo 6360025
Original UK pressing in fantastic condition.
Only played three times since new.
The LP:

Beautiful clean labels with no spindle damage on both sides.
This LP has been stored in upright in a polyethylene protective sleeve in a flightcase record box in a non-smoking environment for over 25 years. I played it twice when I bought it and again today to check.
The disc still gleams like new and has no warp or dinks. It has superficial sleeve marks that do not affect play.
Both sides play wonderfully with only a hint of dust noise which is inevitable after 29 years of existence. The run-in grooves and between track bands are quiet (played on a Pro-ject front end through a Mission Cyrus 1 and Mission LE speakers). When the last track on side 2 finishes there is silence and then - for no reason - the run-off groove crackles gently to the end, the track isn't affected.
I would love to say this is Mint but as it has been played and it may need a gentle de-dusting I have to classify this as the strongest Excellent you may ever meet.
The Sleeve:
The gatefold sleeve is in superb condition with no tears, bends, dinks or staining.
The spine is completely undamaged with all the printing as crisp as the day it was made.
There is a small amount of surface rubbing at the very bottom of the outer sleeve (see image) and the corners at the open end of the gatefold sleeve have a tiny bit of feathering. Both these observations were probably there when I bought the LP due to the way record shops stored their product in the 1970s.
For an unlaminated sleeve it is in truly amazing condition.
The inner sleeve is intact with no damage apart from some edge browning and a crease (see image).

Overall a superb copy of Cressida's second LP that any Vertigo collector would be extremely happy with.
