Description

This is the original 1963 Jubilee JGS 5023 STEREO Album THE RAINDROPS by The Raindrops. "What you may not know...is that these teenagers are amazingly versatile. Not only do they retain their individuality through a variety of moods but they wrote every single song on this album"! Songs include: What A Guy, Hanky Panky, I Won't Cry, It's So Wonderful, Da Doo Ron Ron, When The Boy's Happy, The Kind Of Boy You Can't Forget, Isn't That Love, Every Little Beat, Even Though You Can't Dance, That Boy's Messin' Up My Mind and Not To Young To Get Married. I don't know that this album has been played more than once or twice. There are no spindle marks and no writing or marks on either side. It is virtually scratch free. Using the Goldmine grading system I would  grade it VG+++ to NM ( I try to grade conservatively). The original gloss is still on the album and on the cover. The cover has NR stamped on the back and two puch holes but there are NO seam splits and it's still in it's original shrink wrap. It would grade "VG+" or better. I'm including a brief description of Grades to help clarify them for the novice collector. VERY GOOD PLUS: "record will show signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect ones listening experience. The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. An LP jacket may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole". VERY GOOD: Surface noise will be evident upon playing but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them". GOOD/GOOD PLUS: "A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve will have seem splits. Tape writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object". S/H is Priority w/tracking & includes a new album mailer (ins. extra). I will ship media mail if you wish but recommend insurance if you choose this method. I have recently had some media mailing take up to a month to arrive. Once the album is dropped off at the post office I have no control over the length of time it takes to be delivered (please be aware of that if you choose Media Mail). International order are shipped Priority or Express ONLY and include Tracking & Insurance (please calculate postage before bidding). Overseas bidders if you INSIST on an item being mailed regular Air Mail contact me first and be aware that I will NOT be responsible for a record shipped in this manner as it can neither be tracked or insured. Please email me with any questions, and thanks.
