Description

Hi All, the thinning out of my collection continues and I’ve sorted out a few choice cuts in the collection for your consideration as well as a few ‘vinyl staples’ for the discerning new entrant to vinyl collecting. OK for your consideration we have:

Issue: Original 1967 issue on the TRACK RECORD Label

Vinyl Condition visual: The vinyl grades as VG+; the vinyl has retained some of its gloss and deep sheen. The disc is clean but has a few light wispy scratches and a few very light marks on each side, and two more visual scratches on side 1 all being commensurate with age and grade I hasten to add. All in all, it’s a strong VG+.

Vinyl Condition Playback: The vinyl grades as VG+; some audible mild static crackling/pops at the run-in but this pretty much subsides when the music kicks in; thereafter its just occasional mild static during the playback but nothing too drastic and all commensurate with grade. Aside from this the vinyl sits flat on the turntable and there is very little lessening of sound quality – strong VG+.

Label Condition: EX; as you can see in the photo minimal and very light spindle marks and no writing, doodles or other blemishes whatsoever on the labels. The silver text is clean and legible; superb examples.

Cover Front: The front cover Grades as EX-; the laminated front is clean and essentially undamaged. It has retained its shape very well. The central image is clear and the lamination is excellent and intact. A few mild creases mainly at the corners aside from this there are no other notable creases/splits whatsoever to report. All edges are secure; overall an excellent example of this very delicate sleeve. There is a price sticker on the front 39’6 reduced to 15’6 (shillings)– I only wish I bought 20 copies lol!

Cover Back: EX; the laminated back is in EX condition being clean and damage free with very little in the way of age related wear showing; a little ring-wear evident when held to the light and a few mild creases at the corners. Other than that it’s a stunner. I have no hesitation in grading it a strong EX.

Spine: EX; the spine is intact, clean with good lamination cover. It has retained its square shape and all the text is very legible and clear. There is even some sign of the pinched corners overall in EX shape and well defined.

Corners: VG; slight bumps but retaining square edges.

Inserts/Other: nil

Summary: This is a fab album and quite elusive in good condition. I’ve owned and cherished this for many years now and stuff like this is already getting more difficult to find. So here’s your chance to grab a VG copy of a fab album.
