Original Vintage 'Sid Vicious Suicide Attempt' News-Stand Punk Sex Pistols Poster
Size: 73cm (29") x 44 (17.5")
This listing is for an original news stand 'headline' poster announcing Sid Vicious's suicide attempt on 22nd October 1978. These posters were ubiquitous throughout London but were not available to the public, they were not durable and were discarded daily. This poster is in exceptional condition and is an amazing piece of punk social and cultural history.
Authentication: The size, paper stock and printing have all been assessed to guarantee this poster is an original. The paper, which is newspaper type paper stock, has slight age browning (acid tanning) which further authenticates the poster. The poster also has "23 October 1978" neatly marked in pencil on the back of the poster
Condition: Excellent vintage folded condition. Nice saturated colours. No tears, holes, creases or marks. Please inspect the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
The poster will be sent flat in a strong cardboard package.
