Description
Os Mutantes cracked the already red hot Tropicalia scene wide open. Fusing traditional Brazilian music, psychedelia, rock and a good dose of pure experimentalism, they quickly became giants both in Brazil and in the outer fringes of pop music, where they have managed to reign supreme for the past four decades.
I believe this is an original pressing because I have thoroughly looked over both the cover and the record and have only found Polydor de luxe as a publisher and only the date of 1968. There are no other dates on either. There is a very small CGC number on the back of the cover of 33.177.411/3 under the label Companhia Brasileira De Discos. I'm not a professional at evaluating records, but there is nothing on this record or its sleeve to indicate that it is a re release.
This record has minimal wear, but the sleeve has a musty smell.

I went to the record shop today because they were actually closed on Monday and this is what the owner said. The OS Mutantes LPNG 44.018 is in VG condition (conservatively graded). It has some smudges that should be fixed with cleaning. It has minor surface marks that shouldn't affect play. The inner sleeve is missing. It is an original mono press not stereo which makes it more desirable for collectors.
He said that the Caentano Veloso is also a mono recording in the same condition as the OS Mutantes and is an original pressing as well.
The A Divina Comedia is in good condition at best with several scratches and surface marks and needs a cleaning and is also a mono recording..
I don't plan to clean any of these because I'm not an expert and I don't want to risk ruining them. I hope this gives you the information you're looking for.
