Description

For sale is an original 1970 vinyl release of Samba É De Lei by Os Originais Do Samba  (RCA Victor, BBL1536).


This Brazilian samba band was founded in Rio de Janeiro in the 60s, and is lead by Bidi (cuica, vocals) and includes Chiquinho (ganzá, vocals), Lelei (tambourine, vocals), Mussum (Antonio Carlos Bernardes - reco-reco, vocals), Rubão (surdo, vocals), and later by Bigode (vocals, pandeiro), Zeca do Cavaco (cavaco, banjo), Sócrates (Francisco de Assis Silva Pereira - guitar), Rubinho Lima (percussion), Valtinho Tato (percussion), Gigi (José Delfino Rodrigues da Costa - reco-reco and tamborine),

This fantastic recording still holds up today.

 




Disc is EX showing very light inner sleeve marks that don't affect play and are barely noticeable, otherwise very clean. Sounds amazing with faint pops during quiet spots.

Jacket is VG+ with some creasing to the thin paper cover and a tear near bottom where there's a split for an inch at the opening, otherwise no splits or any other wear to speak of!
