3000 Years With Ottilie (Marmalade 608 011) 1969
Though she's best-known for singing with her husband Chris Barber’s band from 1955, Ottilie Patterson simultaneously ploughed her own furrow in the 1960s, releasing a few oddball singles that culminated with this lost classic, taking the form of a tour through the history of popular song, touching on folk, pop, jazz, funk and even classical. An eccentric joy from start to finish, and in my view it's up there with Gary Farr as the rarest album on Marmalade (and certainly far harder to find than the Blossom Toes LPs).
The unlaminated sleeve is VG owing to some water damage at the bottom (see picture) but still looks fine, with a fully legible spine.
The vinyl looks and plays NM, and sounds amazing.
