Description
Launched in 1995, Outcaste was one of the first labels dedicated to the new sounds of the "Asian Underground". Home to Nitin Sawhney and Niraj Chang among others, Outcaste celebrated their fifth anniversary with The First Five, a 15-track compilation of the chill-out anthems that made their name.
Nitin Sawhney is the label's chief asset so it's understandable that his gorgeous pan-global joyrides feature heavily on this album. Not forgetting Thievery Corporation, Bonobo, Badmarsh and Shri, plus many more. This album hits the mark. Brilliant.

Item condition
Condition of vinyl is EXCELLENT Has light traces of use with hairline surface scratches. TESTED ON BOTH SIDES.
Condition of original album sleeve is VERY GOOD PLUS
Does have some slight edge ware/creases from shelf storage.

Record grading guide
Mint (M) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played and usually sealed.
Near Mint (NM) – The record has been on a shelf between other records. The vinyl looks glossy and clearly has only been played a few times. There are no marks on the vinyl and the whole package is complete.
Excellent (E) – Very light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times, or some small signs of use generally. Has been played.
Very Good Plus (VG+) – A few further faults, but nothing that really compromises the record visually or audibly. A little rub, light inaudible marks, a little background crackle.
Very Good (VG) – It’s seen a bit of life, but is still usable. Light pops and clicks, an edge split, light visible scratches. You can still listen to it and enjoy looking at it, but it is visually and audibly USED.
