P. Vert “Stickball” RARE ORIG ACETATE 12” RINGO HARRY NILSSON BEATLES HEAR
Label: no label Year: 70s
Condition: Vinyl - VG+ Cover - VG (generic)
Description:
Very interesting item here. This is an original acetate of P. Vert’s “Stickball” - an oddball cut from the mid 70s - the track can be heard in full below. Rumor has it, and it’s uncomfirmed, but is said that P. Vert is actually a psuedonym for Ringo Starr and Harry Nilsson - Ringo all but admits to it in an interview
from 1976 with Tony Smith on Radio Luxembourg - you can hear the full interview below, and listen to the bit about Stickball at the 45:00 minute mark. The track was released as a 7” a few different ways, one of which where it served as an A-side to Connie Lingus’ “F*ck Me Forever” and the rumor there is that that’s Harry Nilsson and band playing the backing music. People have also said that this is Tony Bruno, the oddball act and songwriter who released three LPs on Capitol and wrote a couple of amazing soundtracks. Either way - it’s an extraordinarily cool item - and insanely rare - not going to see it again anytime soon. Disc is VG+, plays and osunds beautiful. There are no matrix numbers on it anywhere.

BIDDERS - PLEASE READ THE BELOW
I grade my LPs VERY conservatively and accurately under a bright light. A description of the grading scale is below:
M: MINT - perfect. vinyl is pristine / cover is flawless and/or sealed
M- : just under mint. a very, very slight amount of wear on the cover or inaudible wear on the vinyl (surface wear from age, generally) but is otherwise flawless
VG+: vinyl / cover shows signs minor signs age or wear that are more or less undistinct / inaudible.
VG: vinyl / cover shows some visible wear / age but is overall in very good shape. pops and clicks may be ever so slightly noticeable, but don't effect play or overall listening experience.
VG-: vinyl / cover shows some relatively apparent age but is in overall good shape and still a fine copy to own / play.
G+: vinyl shows some heavy wear but overall sounds decent. cover has some flaws or shows much age
G: vinyl is in pretty rough shape visibly but plays ok. cover shows a lot of age or has some major splits or tears.
G-: vinyl looks / sounds pretty rough. cover has major condition issues such as water damage, large rips, etc
*a double "+" or "-" indicates that the condition is just above or below the neighboring grade
