Description
THE PAISLEYS-Cosmic Mind At Play, Stereo LP-Audio City Peace 944S-2809. Mega-rare AWESOME Minneapolis psych album originally produced in miniscule quantities in 1970. The cover is in beautiful NEAR MINT condition with absolutely NO wear anywhere aside from a tiny scratch-2" below "Paisleys" on cover (virtually impossible to notice as it blends with artwork) & a small fingertip-sized stain of some sort on back, which is adjacent to a signature in ballpoint which reads, "To SuSu, Peace, Bill." It is my feeling that this is Bill Smith, keyboardist and main songwriter (as well as cover art designer) of the band. It came from an attic in Minneapolis and belonged to a woman of the band's approximate age (I, of course, cannot verify the signature, so take that as you wish). The LP itself comes in its original plain white sleeve, and appears to my eyes to have never been played (if so, not very much at all). LP was produced by Warren Kendrick, who also worked with local legends The Litter, and this was reissued on Sundazed in 2003 w/bonus tracks. The band included: Brad Stodden-vocals, guitar/Bill Smith-keyboards, backing vocals/Dick Timm-bass, backing vocals/Bob Belknap-drums, backing vocals. PSYDE 1: 1. Cosmic Mind At Play 2. Rockin' 3.
