Obwohl "On Air" vielleicht das am wenigsten beachtete Album von ALAN PARSONS ist, so gilt es unter Kennern als eins seiner besten.
Das Konzept der Albums dreht sich um die Geschichte der Forschung per Flugzeug. Das Thema von "Too Close To The Sun" ist die Flucht aus dem Labyrinth des Minotaurus.
"Brother Up In Heaven" ist ein emotionaler Song über den Tod des Cousins von APP-Gitarrist Ian Bairnson.
"One Day To Fly" dreht sich um die Mission Leonardo da Vincis eine Flugmaschine zu erfinden.
Als Sänger ist ein veritables Who Is Who der Szene vertreten: Christopher Cross, Eric Stewart, Neil Lockwood, Steve Overland und Graham Dye.
Das großartige Artwork des Originals wurde von Peter Curzon von Storm Studios für Music On Vinyl neu aufgelegt.
