PASHA - (SEARCHERS) - Somebody Shot The Lollypop Man - Pussy Willow Dragon

	£		83
	$		110

You are bidding on a very rare 45 rpm record by Pasha (The Searchers under another name)

This was released in 1969 and does not come up for sale very often.

After some internet research I found this information;

During their time at Liberty Records the Searchers cut two songs that were released under another name: Pasha. The two songs - written by their producer Kenny Young - were:

"Somebody Shot The Lollipop Man" sung by Frank with Mike  and

"Pussy Willow Dream" sung by Mike with Frank. (Erroneously credited as Pussy Willow Dragon on the label.)

Release date was June 1969 and it came out in the UK and the Netherlands on Liberty LBF 15199

The are two possibilities for choosing a pseudonym: Either the Searchers wanted to try it with another name, thinking that Searchers was totally out of date or they found both songs so bad that they didn’t want to use their own good name.

A. Side.....SOMEBODY SHOT THE LOLLYPOP MAN

B. Side.....PUSSY WILLOW DRAGON

Cover Condition;  EX

Vinyl Condition: After carefully looking and listening to this record I have graded it as " Excellent " condition.

The A-Side has a couple of very light, non sounding, surface marks that do not affect play whatsoever.

The B-Side has a couple of very light, non sounding, surface marks that do not affect play whatsoever.

In my opinion, this record plays beautifully and sounds great.

Labels: As you can see from the scans, both labels are clear and bright, the B-Side is free from any writing, but the A-Side has some pen mark on it (not done by me I hasten to add)

Sleeve Condition: Original Liberty sleeve in excellent condition.

I have tried to be as honest as I can with my listing and have included the standard record grading system used to grade second hand records.

Please Note; if you are looking for a mint copy of this record, then this is not for you, however if you are happy with a lovely sounding / very playable copy in " Excellent Condition " then this is definitely the one for you.

Record Grading System:

Mint: The record itself in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows very slight signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality and the cover and packaging have only minimum defects.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played a few times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality. A slight amount of wear or tear on the cover or extra items is acceptable.

Good: The record still produces a reasonable sound but has obviously been played a lot. Although showing wear and tear, neither the record, cover or contents display any major defects.

Fair: It is noticeable that the record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated quite a bit. The cover and contents are showing signs of folding, scuffing of edges etc.

Poor: The record is still just about playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise and other deterioration in sound quality.

Bad: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. The cover and contents will be torn, stained, defaced or even missing.
