Description
Produced by Todd Rundgren, Wave represents the fourth studio album by Patti Smith and the final record to officially bill the legendary Patti Smith Group. Moving into a highly polished, melodic late-70s art-rock and new-wave landscape, the production value on this original analog pressing is incredibly warm and punchy.
This release is famous for the hit singles "Dancing Barefoot" and "Frederick" (dedicated to her future husband, Fred "Sonic" Smith), alongside a fierce cover of the Byrds' "So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star." Because this copy remains factory sealed, the original double-sided insert featuring lyrics, credits, and portrait photography is preserved inside in untouched condition.
