Description
Up for auction is a nice original copy of the Patti Smith debut album Horses, originally released in the U.S. on Arista Records (AL 4066) in 1975:

Condition: Cover is in nice condition, very attractive. Still retains its original shiny lamination, looks clean front and back, light rub. Has two seam splits top and bottom near opening for a few inches (see photos). Corners are nice. Aside from the seam splits the cover looks great, and is still very presentable and collectible. Looks nice! Grade: Very Good (VG)
Vinyl is also very nice, still retains its original glossy shine. Both sides look clean and shiny, but Side One has one small scuff that can't be felt, nor does it affect the quality of the playback. Aside from that one mark, the vinyl is clean, almost Near Mint. No marks around spindle holes. Side One label has a small sticker on it that could probably be removed. Looks like this record has maybe been played only once or twice at most previously, but handled with care. Great sounding record! Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+)/Excellent (EX)

I remove the records with inner sleeves from the covers prior to packing. I sandwich the record between two pieces of cardboard for padding and protection. I also reinforce the corners of the shipping box to protect the corners of the record jacket from damage.
