Description
For auction is PAUL GONSALVES "Gettin' Together" JLP 36, MONO, 1961. With Nat Adderley, Sam Jones, Wynton Kelly and Jimmy Cobb.
SOUND: VG+ or better
It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The sound is fantastic, just great! For completeness, I will mention 1 single, light "pop" on A2 "J. and B. Blues." That's it!
VINYL: VG+ or better
Visually, the vinyl looks very nice. It has some very light scuffing or minor surface marks. Overall, I can't see anything worrisome, and mostly looks shiny and fresh. On clean orange labels with deep grooves.
COVER: VG+, probably better
The cover is beautiful! Very solid edges/corners with minimal wear. Front and back are clean and look almost new. Back has a "Demo" stamp on top.
The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.
The record is beautiful in all respects. No reserve, bidding starts at $20.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
