Description

For auction is PAUL GONSALVES' "Gettin' Together" JLP 36, MONO, 1961. With Nat Adderley, Sam Jones, Wynton Kelly and Jimmy Cobb.

SOUND: VG+ or better

It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides completely. The playback is excellent, the sound overall clean and crisp. For completeness, I will mention a bit of faint surface noise, with a few random, tiny tics, in the first two cuts (A1-2). There is also a very brief incidence of tiny tics in B2. But for these, the playback would grade solid NM.

VINYL: VG+/NM-

The vinyl looks very clean and glossy. There is a short, hairline mark  and a faint scuff on side A. Both appear superficial. Side B is clean, nothing to report. On orange, deep-grooved labels. Side B has some wear around spindle (see pics.)

COVER: NM-

The cover is beautiful! Solid edges/corners with the most minimal wear. Front and back are very clean, unmarked, with minimal wear or aging.

The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics.

The record is beautiful in all respects. No reserve, bidding starts at $20.

Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.

Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.

If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material.  Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
