Description
This is a very rare Paul McCartney 'collector's' album. I bought this genuine ORIGINAL colored vinyl pressing of ORIENTAL NIGHTFISH via mail order back in the day. This is a double album set. It is on READING RAILROAD RECORDS.
I am the original owner and have played it maybe three times (once to grade it the other day).
I have stored it in a plastic sleeve since I got it. Check the many photos.
I use GOLDMINE grading standards:
DISC - NM (played only 2 or 3 times) - Looks like new. I hear one tic/pop in "Jet" and one pop near the end of "My Love." Even the makers of this set point out the variance in sound quality from the beginning concert tracks (poor) to some excellent stuff. If you want to read details, here's a link.
REVIEW and details
When I first got it I thought something was wrong with the pressing on "Mary Had a Little Lamb," but I see from that review that it is that way on the source. I could tell it was not skipping. It gets distorted sounding at one spot and skips ahead in the song towards the end.
COVER - VG/VG+ All corners are ding'ed with the front upper left the biggest & most visible - check the Gallery larger photos! It was hard to get any boot LP's through the mail back in the 70's, etc. with NO mail damage. Even if I ordered multiple ones at the same time.
I am pretty obsessive, so I may point out more than I should for my own good, but it's my nature. Check my Feedback. Multiple wins can save on shipping! IF you win more than one auction/record WAIT for an invoice from ME and don't pay via the quick eBay one. I have learned they don't credit back their fee if I end up partially refunding some of the shipping.
LP's are removed from their outer sleeve to help protect against edgewear and sent in plastic protective sleeve.
