Unless noted, vinyl grading is done visually. If the record has been play tested, I will mention this.

ALBUM COVER GRADES

SS (STILL SEALED) Factory sealed and unopened. Cover is in perfect condition, no flaws. Brand spanking new vintage.

M (MINT) It’s unlikely I’ll ever grade anything at this level that has already been opened, so you might as well just read the next description. 

M- (MINT MINUS) Very subtle to no flaws. Maybe a little wear in corners, but otherwise looks practically new—it’s mintage vintage, maaan!

EX (EXCELLENT) Slight signs of wear on corners or edges. May have some mild imperfections, marks, or small creases. Very strong overall.

VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) Some shelf wear is evident. There will probably be some edge and/or corner wear, light ring wear, or a small seam split or tear. Could have some stains, slight discoloration, or creases. It’s actually starting to look vintage!

VG (VERY GOOD) The cover may be worn, but still looks frame-worthy. There may be some seams starting to split, corners that are fraying, or creases. If there are any tears or writing, these all will be addressed in the above grading description—don’t worry, Vinnie Vintage wants to make sure you’re happy with your purchase!

G (GOOD) Cover is worn and use is evident—this is probably a great album that has been passed around for generations. So a seam is starting to split; there is noticeable ringwear; but the artwork can still be made out! Some moron wrote their initials to make sure no one steals their album. Now they are dead so nobody cares. Put your initials in their place! This is very vintage, and yours to keep. At least until you die. Or resell it.

F (FAIR) Major seam splits, large marker writing, and significant ring wear: oh my! Damaged corners, tears, taped seam repairs…these are just some of the potential flaws this cover could have. But it’s still in tact, and damn well deserves a “fair" vintage grade.

P (POOR) If you’re willing to buy an album with a cover in this shape, I commend you; you must truly be in this for the sound. Just think of all the history behind this album: some kid’s mom put him in prep school immediately after donating his “devil’s music” to the Salvation Army; some other kid made out with his first chick when he played it; who knows, maybe Lyndon B. Johnson once owned it? Now you can be a part of that list—assuming the cover can somehow survive through another owner.

VINYL GRADES SS (STILL SEALED) Album is factory sealed and unopened. Vinyl assumed to be in perfect mint condition—it’s Vinnie’s virgin vinyl!
M (MINT) The vinyl is virtually flawless. Like a virgin—touched for the very first time. And if you’ve just purchased Madonna, this would be all too literal.    M- (MINT MINUS) At most a very minor sleeve scuff or tiny hairline may be visible, but never more. Cloaked the raven.
EX (EXCELLENT) This vinyl will be bright and glossy, and look good enough to eat off of—though I wouldn’t recommend that you do. Maybe a a few light sleeve scuffs or hairlines, but otherwise looks as if it has only been played a few times.
VG+ (VERY GOOD PLUS) Vinyl will still be glossy, but there will be some visible surface wear in the form of hairlines and/or sleeve scuffs. Unlikely there will be an impact on sound quality other than some light surface noise. The record should still play through without any skips. 
VG (VERY GOOD) You ever hear a vintage album for the first time and think, “Man, that crackling noise sounds so cool!” Chances are any vinyl in this category will have that. You may discover a few pops, clicks, or skips during playback, but nothing significant enough that the record is unlistenable. The vinyl itself won’t be so glossy anymore and will have some scratches and scuffs on it.
G (GOOD) Very played, dull vinyl with noticeable scratches and wear that causes a fair amount of surface noise including pops and skips. Anything lower than this you must be buying the jacket for decorative purposes.

Vinnie Vintage prefers PayPal. If there is some other form of payment you must use, contact me, though chances are I’ll still only want PayPal. Also payment MUST be made within 5 days of closing or your item will get relisted.

SHIPPING  I take every measure necessary to see that your purchase arrives as safely as possible to your doorstep. When packaged, the record will be placed in its inner sleeve on the outside of the cover to prevent any seam splits from occurring during shipment. Both will be placed within a plastic sleeve and packaged in a corrugated box with a stiffener to prevent any additional movement. The box will be taped tightly together. If you have any special shipping requests beyond this, just message me. Rest assured, Vinnie Vintage will see that you’re product arrives as described.
RETURN POLICY I typically do not accept returns. Each item is carefully inspected to ensure its visual grading is as accurate as possible. If for any reason the record does not arrive as described, consideration can be made on a case-by-case basis. Please message me as soon as you receive your item. If a refund is permitted, the record must be mailed back within 14 days to be honored. Please message me before leaving a bad feedback rating as your satisfaction is my ultimate goal!
