Label:   ODE.  Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl.  Label is yellow with black text.  Catalog number is Z12-44006. 

Year: 1968.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, as clean as can be found.  Appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care.  Labels are clean.  Fidelity is superb.  A gorgeous disc you will never need to upgrade.

JACKET:  Gatefold jacket is NEAR MINT with clean and glossy panels.   Seams, spine, and surfaces are excellent.  A bit of minor wear on seams and corner tips.  Inside gatefold is clean and pristine.  No writing, stickers, or cutout indications.  Overall a beautiful jacket.

“Record companies are always looking for an edge.  In the '60s it was television stars.  The theory was that since they were already household names, a recording by them would be less of a risk.  This was the first of two Ode albums by Peggy Lipton, who played cool Julie Barnes on Mod Squad.  The LP picked up some plays, and isn't bad, mainly because of the quality material.  Lipton wrote four of the 11 songs: "Let Me Pass," "Memories of a Golden Weekend," "San Francisco Glide," and "Honey Won't Let Me."  She has a flower child persona that occasionally branches.  Interesting cuts include Laura Nyro's "Stoney End" and Carole King and Gerry Goffin's "Natural Woman" and "It Might as Well Rain."”
