Description

Mysterious counter-culture hippies band from NYC that no one has been able to locate. They made two LPs with rock, folk, psych, etc moves in early '70s and are excellent. The long opening track "Memories" is quite far out there, other tracks like "Vietnamese Lady", "Goodbye To The War, Goodbye To The Violets", "The Sea, The Land, And The Moon" capture the turned on head of the '60s generation. The full name of band is People's Victory Orchestra & Chorus and the name of the LP is "Weltschmerzen" on People's Music Works private label, no number. Clean Ex/M- condition with one tiny fingernail size sticker tear in corner, very minor. Have seen big $$ asked for this in overseas catalogs when it turns up!
