Description
For auction is PEPPER ADAMS' "Critic's Choice", on WORLD PACIFIC PJM-407, MONO, 1957. This record has Deep Grooves both sides. It has been machine-cleaned and I listened to both sides complete. The sound is very bright and clean. The only thing of note is approximately 60 seconds of a repeating tick during soft bass intro to side B/2, "Alone Together". Aside from that, the entire record sounds really nice! Visually, the vinyl is VG, the only flaw being a scuff on side B, probably the source of the aforementioned tick.
The sleeve is VG+ (probably better) with no flaws of note! Just modest wear on this 60-year-old record. It's clean, with solid seams and corners all around. The photos are of the exact record up for bids. Look before you bid, ask if you want any additional info or pics. No reserve, bidding starts at $20.
Every record I auction has been cleaned on a Nitty Gritty vacuum/cleaner. I played every record to determine if there are static, tics, pops, hisses, what have you. I endeavor to thoroughly report any extraneous audio "noise" or problems of any significance. Other than that, I will report on the general condition of each record, both vinyl and jacket, according to Goldmine standards, to the best of my ability.
Every record is put into a new, clean sleeve insert. In the case of an interesting original sleeve insert, I'll include that in the sale.
If you're into this stuff, you might want to save me to your seller's list and check back periodically. I'll be putting a lot of vintage jazz records up for auction. I'm not a collector, nor an audiophile, but I think they are desirable if you're into this kind of material. Click "see other items" and thanks for looking!
