Description
Its hard to beleive but this is the Pet Shop Boys very, very first ever 12" record. If you are a fan you will know that the PSB's first ever single was Opportunities on EMI records in 1985. The single didn't get anywhere and the Boys realised West End Girls and Love comes quickly with Parlophone a subsidiary of EMI later that year. After the success of West End Girls which got to number 1, Opportunities was re-realised on the Parlophone lable later that year or in early 1986. This 12" is a first time round 1985 promo copy, that is one that was sent to radio stations as a DJ copy. It has the photos of Tennant and Lowe on a 5" centre disc, Tennant on the A-side and Lowe on the B-side. the A-side is Opportunities (Lets Make Lots of Money) (Version Latina). The B-side is Opportunities (Dub For Money). The record number or code is 12 RA 6097. The record is in Exellent to Mint condition with very little or no visible scratches or damage of any kind. The sleeve is black with a black Pet Shop Boys on the front and back with a round cutaway front and back cover reveling the photo centres of each side. The sleeve has seen better days but is still intact with no tears but has some fold damage and grubby finger marks.(What do you expect it's nearly 20 years old!) It also has a radio station archive sticker on the top left hand corner which reads ( 1 PET.S 1 )The record is one of a lot that has been on sale in an oxfam shop in Belfast Northern Ireland. The Shop recived 25,000 records and 12" singles from a local radio station, the collection spans 25 years and has some of the most rare and valuable collectors records ever seen, most of which are DJ copies. I have been collecting records for 25 years and I have never ever seen another copy of this 12"! If you are a fan Don't miss out, don't be disappointed, dont be out bid! This record may never come up on eBay again!!!!!!!!
