on the HARVEST RECORDS Lable cat# SHVL 752 from 1969 in STEREO

Pete Brown has an interesting history, having co-written brilliant songs for blues-rock legends CREAM, he formed his own band PIBLOKTO and promptly got fired from it!
With a kind-of Bonzo Dog flavoured with Syd Barrett-esque attitude to the lyrics, he cut albums filled with quite compelling music - certainly worthwhile for psych fans, yet somewhat overlooked by the mainstream.
Classic HARVEST lable quality though, as they represented a more artistic style of music that was progressive in a true sense.
This album is a work that - after each play - asks you to simply put it on again. It's a 'full' experience to listen to, in my opinion.
Maybe we could say this is rock's answer to jazz, where one feels like a connoisseur being entertained and at the same time challenged.
Here's an invitation to indulge, for the lucky winner of this rare piece on the original lable.
The vinyl is VG+ to VG++, overall a bright clean copy having only light scuff and playing through well.
The Lables grade VG++.
The laminated gatefold cover grades VG, several creases and the opening edges were inexplicably (unnecessarily) reinforced with tape, which I've removed.
A decent copy and a good listen.
