PETER BARDENS - THE ANSWER
Rare and sought after 1970 UK 1st press underrated prog gem, with great sound quality throughout
Year/Label : 1970 UK Transatlantic Label number : TRA 222 Matrix numbers : STRA-222-A1, STRA-222-B1Excellent (EX) condition vinyl - completely flat, weighty and retaining an impressive jet black lacquered sheen, coming across as unmarked in normal daylight. Very close inspection under a bright light reveals just a few extremely light paper scuffs on each side - all purely superficial and not impacting upon the brilliant stereo sound quality. The labels are in excellent plus condition with just a couple of small and extremely faint spindle trails (hardly visible, even upon very close inspection) adjacent to the centre hole on each. Clearly this is a record that has been sparingly played. Excellent (EX) condition fully laminated (both sides) MacNeill Press outer sleeve with firm and completely unscuffed edges including a rigid 1st press "pinched" spine where all spine text remains fully intact. Each corner remains a nicely defined right angle with barely aby rubbing at all and the opening edges also remain firm with no fraying. All colours, art work, photos, and text remain beautifully vibrant with crystal clear definition. The only blemishes are some vertical light laminate lifting adjacent to the spine on both sides which I have tried to show in my photos, and a few 1cm very light laminate creases/crinkles adjacent and perpendicular to the spine again on both sides. Still eminently presentable and hard to believe that this outer sleeve is now 55 years of age. Superb, excellent plus (EX+) sound quality with no sticks, skips, repeats, clicks, distortion or background crackle - wonderful tone and crystal clear stereo reproduction throughout with cracking guitar and organ play - every track remains a brilliant listen. Comes with original and excellent condition plain white inner sleeve with no side splits and barely any age discolouration or edge fraying - just some very minor creasing on the reverse side. Note that I always ship the vinyl in a new plain white inner sleeve in order to protect the original. An excellent condition copy of this 1970 UK 1st press prog gem, increasingly hard to come by especially in condition such as this.
POSTAGE COSTS :
For the UK £4 using Royal Mail tracked 48;
for continental Europe £11 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for,
and for the rest of the world £17 using Royal Mail 1st class tracked and signed for.
I do provide posting and packaging discounts for multiple purchases. I make no profit from postage.
Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits. I use thick cardboard stiffeners and take great care in my packaging to ensure as far as possible that these precious records reach their destination in exactly the same condition as when they leave me.

A bit about myself : I have been collecting UK vinyl for over 54 years from a variety of sources : my own collection, friends and family, car boot and garage sales, door-to-door leaflets, and even through placing an advert in my wife's shop window! My ebay feedback speaks for itself so rest assured that you are buying from a trusted seller and in the very unlikely event that you are unhappy with your purchase just e-mail me and I will sort out the problem. I offer a "no questions asked" refund policy. If you require any further information, including photos, then let me know and I'll do my best to oblige. There is NO RESERVE on this item. Richard
