Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has been the undisputed pioneer and leader in audiophile recordings since the company's inception in 1977. Established by dedicated audiophiles, Mobile Fidelity's first and foremost goal was to offer faithfully reproduced high fidelity recordings that would compliment the numerous advances occurring in audio delivery systems. Throughout its history, Mobile Fidelity has remained true to this goal, pioneering state-of-the-art technologies and setting audiophile standards that remain in place today.
In 1994 the company introduced their ANADISQ™ 200 LP series, which features half-speed mastering with the GAIN System technology, numbered limited editions, 200 gram super quality virgin vinyl and special heavy-duty jackets with rice paper inner sleeves.
This very limited and highly sought after version of Frampton Comes Alive LP from the Anadisq series was released in Sept 1996. Numbered 1165. - one of a handful of double albums in the series!!
This copy is graded as EX/EX in accordance with the recognised Record Collector Gradings. The cover shows no signs of wear, except for some very minor discolouration (sun bleaching) to the spine. The cover has been protected by a heavy gauge gatefold PVC sleeve, rather than the standard issue polythene bag. The LP itself exhibits no signs of being played. There is a tiny manufacturing blemish on track 1 side 2, but there is absolutely no effect to the playback of the vinyl!
