This is the rare second single released by Portuguese prog rockers Petrus Castrus, one year before their LP Ascenção e Queda, a magnificent concept record cherished by proggers worldwide. In 1973, they had released their acclaimed debut LP Mestre, who is featured in Hans Pokora 4001 Record Collector Dreams.

 

While “Cândida” is a gentle and beautiful tune, almost in a bossa nova style, the killer track is the B-side “No Concelho de Cá…” [On This Side of the Border…], which features brilliant musical interplay and great jazz-rock passages.

 

You won’t find these tracks in any other records, as they were only released on this 7”. Don’t lose your chance of getting this relic!
