Description
Offered for Sale is a "PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE" soundtrack lp.
It is the story of a disfigured composer who sells his soul for the woman he loves, so that she will perform his music. However, an evil record tycoon betrays him and steals his music to open his own rock palace, "THE PARADISE". Betrayed, the composer dons a new appearance and exacts revenge on the producer.
It was written and directed by Brian De Palma, and scored by and starred Paul Williams.
It is on the A&M record label with the record #SP 3653.
This is the ORIGINAL 1974 lp, with the ORIGINAL inner picture sleeve.
This LP had never been played, (till now) but as a PROMO I received it open. I play tested it and can say 100% that the record is primo.
Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving. I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself. Also, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve. This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides.
NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca. As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy. More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them.
