Acclaimed producer Bill Laswell gets a hold of Pharoah Sanders and lo, the sleeping volcano erupts with one of his most fulfilling albums in many a year. Message From Home is rooted in, but not exclusively devoted to, African idioms. The record really develops into something special when Sanders pits his mighty tenor sound against the pan-African beats, like the ecstatically joyful rhythms of "Tomoki" and the poised, percolating fusion of American country & western drums and Nigerian juju guitar riffs on "Country Mile." In addition, "Nozipho" is a concentrated dose of the old Pharoah, heavily spiritual and painfully passionate, with a generous supply of the tenor player's famous screeching rhetoric, and kora virtuoso Foday Musa Suso shows up on "Kumba" with a touch of village Gambian music. This resurrection will quicken the pulse of many an old Pharoah fan.

Hi Welcome to my vinyl auction, due to unfortunate circumstances i'm losing my home & now have to raise funds so i can relocate, meaning i have to sell my beloved record collection. records have had a good visual inspection under bright light & i've tried to grade conservatively & give an honest description of condition using the U.K Record Collector grading system, but I have used additional +/- suffixes where necessary to give a more accurate grade. Covers are graded first.  if you have any questions please feel free to message me & i can answer any queries or provide extra pictures if needed.

Records will be posted in mailers with stiffeners. 

For UK buyers, records will be sent 2nd Class Recorded delivery with an option for Next Day Special Delivery.

For expensive items I strongly recommend you choose the Special option as it is fully trackable and does not go in with the normal post. It has it's own dedicated service. Well worth the extra £3.50 for peace of mind.

Overseas sales under £30 will be sent Standard Airmail with Certificate of Postage

Overseas sales over £30 will be sent International Signed For - this service has confirmation of receipt.

Returns will be accepted for any items that are significantly not as described which should not happen as i've graded conservatively to avoid disappointment. Items must be returned in same condition as sent & within 5 days of receipt for U.K buyers and 2 weeks for overseas buyers.
