SETTLE IN FOR A LONG RUN OF COLLECTABLE LPs OF VARIOUS MUSICALS STYLES - NEXT, SOME THINGS FROM A COLLECTION I RECENTLY PURCHASED. This is a reasonably priced LATE 1960s LOST WEEKEND RECORDS STEREO U.S. PRESSING of the LP titled 'Million Dollar Monkey On My Back' containing an interview by Tommy Williams with heroin junkie Oscar 'Curley' McClure, who went through a million dollars worth of heroin. Musical accompaniment to the interview is arranged by Phil Cohran of the Sun Ra Arkestra. It is Lost Weekend Records catalog number LW 1001, late 1960s thick rigid vinyl pressing, green Lost Weekend Records labels. Opening bid price was determined through a survey of previously completed eBay auctions of this piece on the Popsike site. Visual condition of record is a real nice VG++ with just a couple of light visible surface marks which cannot be felt and do not affect play. Play surface has a few small slight pits which are a slight manufacturing defect and which also have absolutely no effect on play. Condition of cover is a real nice high NM- with the original shrinkwrap still surrounding the cover, and with the only real flaw being a little wear along the open edge and on the corners on the open edge. Cover has no splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This rare LP would be a choice addition to any Sun Ra-related record collection!
