Phil Wainman - Going, Going, Gone/ Hey Paradiddle
(Fontana TF978 UK 1968 ) VG+. Company bag.
One of the most eagerly sought after and rarest 45s on the mod/ psych/ funk DJ and collectors' scene at the moment. It’s on everyone’s wants list, but just doesn’t turn up. In fact, this is the first copy to appear on eBay as far as I know, which is a good indication of just how horribly rare it is. This could be your only chance to get this one for a very very long time....
Anyway, musically this is just fantastic: Huge pounding drums, funky bass undercarriage, choppy guitar, great vocals and an irresistible upbeat tune that once heard, is embedded in your brain forever. The B side is actually in similar vein, just not quite as good.
This copy has some light marks and a few barely noticeable tiny spots on the label, hence the grade, but plays EX and LOUD! Overall, a very nice copy.
