PHLEGM/MU-MESONS SPLIT 7 INCH. Extremely rare and long out of print 7 inch single released in 93-94 on Dr Jims Records. This single was only ever sold at the show that these 2 bands done together for the launch of this single in 93-94. There were only 100 of these singles ever pressed and no one cover/sleeve are the same.The covers were either hand drawn, handpainted, tea towels wrapped around the cover, each cover very unique. This single has the only ever recorded material by the band the Mu-Mesons. The story of the Mu-Mesons goes, Jay Katz (sbs movie show panelist, cult cinema presenter, Mu-Mesons movie archives, sounds of seduction) worked as a nurse at a psych ward and put the band together with a bunch of patients from the ward. Fucking genius. Phlegm with out a doubt were one of the greatest japanese inspired noise bands to ever come out of australia. Featuring Oren Ambarchi who has collaberated with Sunn amongst others and not forgetting his stellar solo career. This single has never been played and is in great condition.
