PHLUPH> “self-titled” (1968) Verve-5054 original blue/silver label stereo pressing Strong VG+/M- (cover/vinyl)

Part of the ill-fated “Bosstown Sound” group of bands like Ultimate Spinach, Beacon Street Union, and others, this is a great slice of psychedelic pop produced by Dan Elliot. There’s fuzz guitar, farfisa organ, and other groovy vibes of the day. I think its one of the best late 1960s pop-psych genre albums from Boston. It’s really scarce too.

This is an original pressing. The cover has only slight wear with a 3.5-inch seam split at top from the jacket opening in. It also has a cut out hole The blue label stereo vinyl is beautiful, glossy and clean. Conservative grading: Strong VG+/M- (cover/record).
