LO SCOPONE SCIENTIFICO
directed by LUIGI COMENCINI, Italy 1972
A roman ragman and his wife every year undertake a serious card game "lo scopone scientifico" with an old and despotic American billionaire and her secretary. Initially, the stakes are fictitious, but then things get serious and they play all the savings of their friends of the neighborhood...
Written by Rodolfo Sonego, is a peak of Italian comedy, based on the dialectic money-power. And the moral is bitter: playing with the rich (who hold the power) is lost forever. There is no division between the good (poor) and bad (rich): the line of separation is marked by social class and forced by the choice of the field. Exciting, can be interpreted at various levels and is recited by top class actors.
The musical touch of PIERO PICCIONI between easy jazz and latin rhythms for this masterpiece of Italian comedy style from early 70's

GRADING CODE
Grading is VISUAL, under a bright light.
NM (Near Mint): Record has been opened, and probably played, but is in impeccable condition. I do not use "mint".
EX (Excellent): Has signs of use or storage, but still considered top collection quality. Jackets may display some very light wear; vinyl may have a few light sleeve marks only visible in the highest light. Sound will full and clear, with little if any noise (NOTE, some records are just pressed poorly).
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Still a great copy but has a bit more wear. Vinyl may have some light scuffs or scratches, but nothing deep. Jacket may have some ringwear or seamwear. Sound should be great, with minimal if any noise.
VG Very Good): A great play copy but clearly used. Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches, but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. Jacket may have splits and wear but will not be falling apart.
VG-(Very Good Minus): A used or worn copy, that has not been taken good care of. Vinyl will have many scuffs or scratches, but play through enjoyably despite audible background noise. Covers will have tears, splits, writing, or other issues.
G Fair, Poor: A very rough copy. Will play through without skipping unless otherwise noted, although records of this grade are sold AS-IS.
DISCOMANE will guarantee an absolute conservative record grading
