Description
New Seller, Old Records. Up for auction is another delightful 60's female vocal, light power pop psych love rock LP by PIC-NIC, titled CALLATE NINA. From Spain and issued in the USA on UA INTERNATIONAL. 1966 Five piece band with fifteen to nineteen year old members. All songs are sung in Spanish except Janis Ian's SOCIETY'S CHILD, which is sung in ENGLISH. A fun version. Kinda like a period FRANCOISE HARDY, but not to the hardness of say, Shocking Blue, Sweet Psych Pop. Teenage London Female Singer who moves to Spain and starts a band.
PIC NIC CALLATE NINA LP UA INTERNATIONAL STEREO UNS 15547 1966 US Pressing with Twelve (12) Songs, True amazing Stereo 12" 33rpm Vinyl Record Album is VG++ and outer cover is MINT MINUS
Original tight fitting SHRINK WRAP on outer cover looks very close to a brand new record. Near perfect and close to new looking spline, seams and corners. Has RADIO SHACK price sticker near top corner ($1.49). No cut out marks or drill holes. Says "RECORDED IN SPAIN" on front cover with a hot looking group photograph. At the worst this cover has a very light album to album ring impression transfer wear on top of front cover, looks like on shrink only. OUTER COVER REALLY IS MINT MINUS WITH NEAR PERFECT SHRINK WRAP. MINT MINUS.
Visually vinyl lp is fairly close to MINT MINUS, looks almost brand new on the "A" Side. This is the side with the English Vocal Society's Child on it. The "B" Side has one visible scuff or hairline which is about 1 1/2" inches long, this goes through song 2-4, but I played it several times and no tics, pops, or other concerns were heard. This LP looks played a few times when new then shelfed. Center label looks new, super bright and clean, center hole is very tight and new looking. This plays so clean, clear, crisp and new sounding it is amazing. Who ever master this was a expert. This record is basically MINT MINUS, there is a slight edge lift, dip in vinyl upon play. This is not serious and is hardly noticed. The lift is about .015 (fifteen thousands of inch) 1/2 MM It is not a jump (edge warp) but more of a slight lift and does not effect sound or playback. I am grading this LP VG++, due to this slight outer edge only lift, really this LP is Mint Minus. Includes a factory UA International inner sleeve, has bent corner otherwise looks near new.
Postage within the USA is $4.00 by USPS MEDIA MAIL with Confirmation. Postage outside the USA is usually $14.00 to $17.00, add $11.50 for Registration. Thank you for looking.
