GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : 12 brani dalle caratteristiche drammatiche trattandosi di un film privo di qualsiasi enfasi retorica sulla prima guerra mondiale combattuta nel fronte Italiano. Sono frequenti le percussioni laceranti che evocano morti violente, bombe e cannoni. Il suono malinconico di una fisarmonica (a3, b4) sembra comunque riflettere pochi attimi di quiete. Di grande suggestione e nello stesso tempo drammatico il coro femminile in "Super Flumina". Da elogiare senza riserve la magnifica interpretazione dell'orchestra diretta da Pierluigi Urbini.

Notes : 12 tracks from the dramatic features being a film about First World War fought in the Italian front without any rhetorical emphasis. There are frequent agonizing percussion evoking violent deaths, bombs and cannons. The melancholy sound of an accordion (a3, b4) seems however to reflect some instants of quiet. Highly suggestive and at the same time tragic the female chorus in "Super Flumina". To praise unreservedly the magnificent performance of the orchestra conducted by Pierluigi Urbini.

The titles of the twelve tracks can be read looking at the back cover depicted in the scan No. 2.

Un film drammatico sulla prima guerra mondiale, coprodotto da Italia e Yugoslavia. Regia di Francesco Rosi, con Mark Frechette, Alain Cuny, Gian Maria Volontè e Pier Paolo Capponi.
