ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING(see photo). One of the most important historic sound documents back from the 50's documenting the birth and early development of the french school of Musique Concrete, released from french Ducretet and featuring the experiments of the first 3 pioneers : Pierre Schaeffer, Pierre Henry and Michel Philippot(have a look at my other auctions for more similar records!!).
Unlike with the development of electronic music, which was based on the manufacturing of artificial sounds built up from a basic sinus tone, these french guys took natural sounds and transformed them with the aid of special instruments such as the Phonogene(which reproduces the recording of magnetic tapes on varied speed and thus makes it possible to alter the range of sounds, which before that were considered to be fixed, eg the sound of a bell or the vibration of a cymbal). This 2nd volume of the Panorama was preceded by a 1st volume also on the same label. On Volume 2, one can find the earliest experiments that were recorded back at that time. The experiments sound rather primitive if you compare it with subsequent works, but still sound very fresh and essential even today!! These recordings are essential for anybody digging experimental music!! A MUST HAVE!! Everything you need to know about early musique concrete from the 50's lies inside this legendary album!! A BIG MUST!!

Vinyl looks to be in vg(+) condition with very few and light hairline type of marks, plays very good+ for its' age with a good amount of crackle and noise, it's a normal to expect condition for a +50 year vinyl(i've come accross another copy too of this record and played much worse than this one-maybe with a washing you can achieve something a little bit better), while cover is very good++(it looks really better from what you see on the photo), maybe the best it can get for a 50's pressing, just some bending on 2 corners, otherwise looks very fresh and clean for its' age!! Extremely difficult to find in any condition, don't lose this chance to grab it now!!
