Description
This is an unusual item, METAL 1 by Public Image Limited – fronted by the legendary John Lydon in his ‘Johnny Rotten’ persona.
Comprising three 12” records (all EX+/NM), pristine dividers and a clean A5 tracklist and mini-vinyl shaped line-up list; only 60,000 of these were made in total and they’re rare to find in such good condition.
Side B happens to have been manufactured to end with a locked groove that (frankly creepily) repeats the end of swan lake until the needle is removed.
This one was part of a recently acquired New-Wave/Punk collection by our shop, that was somewhat of a ‘barn-find’ to the previous owner, hence the light oxidisation of the case externally and the general dirtiness of the vinyl; due to not having been used since being stored post-release.
Pictures are included above to show the condition and some pen marks on two of the labels, but rest assured the case inner is pristine and all three records will be both hand cleaned and put on our cleaning machine prior to posting.
Customers are welcome to collect from our store in Tenterden as we are always keen to meet like-minded individuals, or we can safely package for postage via record-mailer - please request an invoice if you wish for tracked postage at an additional cost; see list below.
(Please be aware that unless by request the store is open Wednesday to Saturday and therefore postage will only be made within those working hours).
This is a piece of punk history so grab it while it’s a low starting price, these change hands for serious prices on Discogs in good condition.
