PIL - PUBLIC IMAGE LIMITED METAL BOX - UK 1st PRESS LP BOX SET G+/VG/Ex
If you're looking for a pristine copy of this release this isn't it : ) The records have visible hairlines all over them and some more prominent scratches too. Some of them are audible as 'pops' here and there on discs 1 & 3 but there is no skipping, jumping or distortion. There is surface noise throughout disc 1, noticeable when you drop the needle and between tracks, but much less so during the music. Disc 2 is less affected by surface noise or pops than 1 and 3. Disc 3 is the worst. Discs 1 & 3 each have an area of repetitive pops up to 30 seconds due to scratches. If I grade the vinyl as VG but G+ occasionally I think that's honest, fair and 'worst case'. If you disagree you can send it back with no quibbles : ) I have wet cleaned the vinyl but not ultrasonically.
The tin has the usual discolouration and the sticker on the back is intact and clean. There are no scratches or dents anywhere and, oxidization aside, it is in EX condition.
The three paper dividers for the records are present but there is no tracklist/credits insert.
