Description
This LP is an awesome psych album and it's getting rare.
It's on the UK Polydor label and is entitled 'Never Never Land' by The Pink Fairies.
It's a stereo recording and the catalogue number is 2383-045. This album was originally released in 1971.
It's a classic prog psych recording from a seriously talented band.
OUTER SLEEVE - The gatefold sleeve is in fine condition and has been graded as Ex++. The outer plastic sleeve which is clear with purple printing is alos in fine condition without tears or creasing. It's been graded Ex++.
INNER BAG - This is a Polydor, polythene lined type. It has the details of the album tracks on one side togetehr with a photo of the ban hiding in a hedge. It states on this side 'Musical instruments played by Pink Fairies - Words and music by Pink Fairies (writers) - Produced by Pink Fairies helped by Neil Slaven - Sleeve design by Pennie Smith and Tony Vesely - Engineer 1 Andy Hendriksen - Engineer 2 Gary Lyons - Recordeed at Command Studios 2 and 3, 102 Piccadilly, London W. 1 - LONG LIVE ROCK AND ROLL - 2383 045 SUPER - This stereo record can be played on mono reproducers provided either a compatible or stereo cartridge wired for mono is fitted. Recent equipment may already be fitted with a suitable cartridge. If in doubt consult your dealer - Manyfactured and marketed by Polydor Records Limited, London. Packaging by Sound Packaging Partnership/Printed in England'. I've graded the inner bag as Ex- because there are some creases and there is slight discolouration on both sides.
RECORD - The record is in fine condition. It looks very clean and shiny and appears to have been played only a few times. There are some very superficial marks on either side which do not affect the quality. It plays very well on both sides with some minor surface noise and some occasional pops and clicks on both sides. These blemishes do not detract from the overall quality of record. There are no jumps on any of the tracks on either side.
LABELS - The labels are red with black and white wording. There are some minor spindle marks around both holes. The labels are in fine condition with no damage. The matrix numbers on the run-off grooves are - side one - 2383045 A//1 11 5 - side two - 2383045 B//1 111 12. I've graded the record as Ex which I believe is very fair.
I try to grade everything very conservatively and I believe that the winner of this auction will not be disappointed. I guarantee everything I sell. It will be difficult to find this first pressing again in such beautiful condition.
THERE IS NO RESERVE ON THIS ITEM.
