PINK FLOYD 1999 UNISSUED 180g TEST PRESSING LP + COVER
Pink Floyd - Dark Side Of The Moon (Capitol) 1999 LP TEST PRESSING of 180 gram vinyl reissue of 1973 LP.
This rare test pressing was manufactured by RTI on high quality vinyl. See scan for RTI label on side one. Side two label is blank.
It includes a plain white cover with the catalog number stamped in the top right corner.
Unlike the other 180G Capitol audiophile reissues, this particular LP was NEVER RELEASED!!!
The release was cancelled and only test pressings and a few proof LP covers exist.
. Test pressings are extremely rare! They are made for in-house use only, usually in quantities of 5 to 50 copies!
Also included in this lot is one of the extremely rare advance "proof" gatefold covers. Although it has full artwork (inside and out) and a bar code with the correct catalog number (21690), it does not have any spine print. It may have been scheduled to be released this way, but since this release was cancelled, we'll never know.
Undoubtedly, one of the RAREST of all Pink Floyd records, especially as an LP and cover together!
Both items are in beautiful NEAR MINT (M-) condition!!!

All cover and vinyl problems (e.g. seam splits, writing, warps, etc.) are noted in addition to the grade. We believe that by listing the "defects" and grading honestly, the collector will be able to visualize the condition of the record before bidding. We hope this eliminates any "surprises" for the buyer. We visually grade all items carefully under very bright light. Whether the record is worth $50 or $50,000; whether it was issued in the 1950s or the 1990s, they all receive equal scrutiny.
Mint. – Perfect, flawless. We rarely, if ever, use this grade.
M- or NRMT (Mint Minus or Near Mint) – Usually our highest grade. Records from the 1950s & 60s in this condition are truly rare.
VG++ (Very Good Plus Plus) – Beautiful collectible condition. Many of our VG++ items would grade M- elsewhere.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) - Great condition. Well cared for.
VG (Very Good) – Still good condition, but more wear than VG+.
VG- (Very Good Minus) - Generally not collectible condition, unless it's a super rare record.
G (Good) – Lots of wear, but still playable.
WBR (Wrecked But Rare) – Otherwise known as a "Starter Copy". Not cracked, but a starter copy.
