Description

DUE TO AN ODD AMOUNT OF CANCELLED BIDS AND NON-PAYING WINNERS FROM ITALY, I HAVE NOW BLOCKED ALL BIDS FROM ITALY. I APOLOGISE TO MY MANY ITALIAN CUSTOMERS. GENUINE ITALIAN BUYERS CAN CONTACT ME ABOUT THIS BUT I WILL NEVER ALLOW BIDS FROM ITALIANS WITH NO FEEDBACK HISTORY.
Over the next few weeks and months I will be listing a quite lovely collection of Pink Floyd albums.
These will all be at least decent playing copies, but mostly will be of excellent quality, some even better than that. They will include some UK 1st pressings, and if not they will be extremely early pressings. All matrix/mother/stamper combinations will be listed (so long as they are readable!) so you can tell exactly what you are bidding on. All gradings are by visual examination and by play-grading,  strictly to record collector guidelines.
So here we have some of Floyds earliest released titles, spanning the period from 1969 to 1975.
MORE. ZABRISKIE POINT. OBSCURED BY CLOUDE. WISH YOU WERE HERE.
This is a collection of tested and untested material but will be described in detail below.
MORE:- Matrices are 1G and 1G, the earliest. Mother / stampers are 2GL & 2GM, so quite an early pressing. Nice heavyweight vinyl which is spotlessly clean. No marks of note. Should play really well. Cover has a disc impression and some laminate creasing. Green rear with couple facing West. Magenta advert inner sleeve discoloured with age and a slit to both sides. Not a bad very early example.
ZABRISKIE POINT:- Mother / stampers are 1R and 1L. This is the quite rare and genuine UK first pressing, with the cat number CS-8120. Very early first pressing indeed of this movie soundtrack written and performed by Floyd. The vinyl looks fantastic with only a couple of micro fine hairlines (non-feelable). The cover has a disc impression and laminate creasing. Quite clean but has previous owners name in small writing, top right of rear face. Inner sleeve original poly-lined with Made in England and patent number text. Light discolouration, no damage. This has been played in full. No skips or sticks, but has surface noise throughout which can be heard when the music is not playing full pelt. The vinyl looks like it should play much better than it does. A good clean maybe will bring it back??
OBSCURED BY CLOUDS:- Matrices are A2 and B2. Mother/stampers are 2 OO and 2 LO, so an early UK 1st pressing with modified matrices (A1 B1 was swiftly withdrawn for problems with sound quality). Again, the vinyl looks fantastic with just a couple of micro hairlines per side (non-feelable). This has not been play-graded but looks like it should play well. The cover is very solid but has been reinforced on all sides with tape, although there are no slits. It must have been the previous owners habit to reinforce to prevent damage. Nice clean cover. The generic white inner sleeve has been reinforced in exactly the same way although not damaged. Nice example.
WISH YOU WERE HERE:- Matrices are A1 and B3. A genuine very earliest UK first pressing. Mother / stampers are 3 GLM and 2 GOM. Cover is really clean with just previous owners surname neatly printed top right front face. Slight corner tear, top left front. Inner sleeve is not original to the 1st press as it has rounded corners, not cropped ones. Extremely clean with no damage. This has been fully play-graded. It plays with virtually no surface noise, at least nothing that intrudes. The only issue with this vinyl is a stick around half way through side one. If you can track at a heavy weight, it may play through this? I do not know. Anyway, aside of the stick it is a quite lovely clean album.

So Pink Floyd in their formative years. The late 60's and early 70's was really the start of super stardom, and this is a nice collection of early material plus the 1975 classic, Wish you were here. The good thing is that all 4 are either genuine first UK pressings, or at least very early pressings..

All albums will be housed in a brand new heavy duty polythene cover. All vinyl's will be housed in a new anti-static inner sleeve. I pack my albums for transit in the most secure packaging imaginable and send 1st class signed for postage with The Royal Mail. I only charge exactly what it costs me, sometimes less!
I accept returns if I am notified as soon as possible after you receive the albums. This has to be due to it being wrongly described. Not just for a change of mind. I take the time to provide quality photographs of the albums, along with a detailed description, so please respect this.
I will post overseas, but not to Russia, Belarus or Ukraine. Postage within the EU is around £17. Worldwide postage is around £27. If these prices differ once I have packed and weighed them, I will refund the difference immediately. If it costs any more, I will stand the extra cost myself. Win win!
If you have any questions, or require more photos, just let me know.
Many excellent Floyd titles still to be listed (over 140), so please keep an eye out for my future sales or add me as a favourite seller to get notifications of listing.

Good luck if you decide to bid.
