PINK FLOYD - ANIMALS
1977 UK HARVEST SHVL 815 (2U - 3U)
NM original UK 2U-3U early 1st pressing. Immaculate, NM barely played vinyl, MINT gatefold cover, & EX original card Inner sleeve. Almost 45 years old now, & the vinyl still looks as close to new as you will find. A really superb early UK pressing.
VINYL = NM
The disc has a really excellent original clean glossy deep sheen. There are no bad visible surface marks, scuffs, or scratches, there are actually no noticeable surface marks at all. There are only a few extremely fine sleeve withdrawal traces, & only when viewed In harsher brighter light conditions. No nasty marks, & so nothing at all to spoil the albums audio, which Is fantastic throughout all tracks. No loud repeated clicks or pops, & actually barely even a trace of background static, not even during the much quieter passages. Being really picky, I heard just a couple of extremely low level light tics during the quiet fade-out of 'Pigs On a Wing 1', apart from that, the vinyl looks, plays, & sounds just about perfect. This album has been very well cared for, & has not seen much play at all, & so there Is no lessening In the audio at all. This Is just a really superb, looking, sounding, playing original uk early first pressing, that will definitely not disappoint In any way.
LABELS - NM
The labels are In near mint condition. Both are are very clean, & still look as new.
MATT GATEFOLD SLEEVE = MINT
The 'Garrod & Lofthouse' matt gatefold sleeve also still looks as good as new. It really Is still In really fantastic shape. Super-clean Inside & out. No noticeable wear at all. The spine Is superb, with all text bold & clear & easy to read. A really amazing looking original gatefold cover, with no faults at all.
CARD LYRIC INNER SLEEVE = EX
The original card Inner sleeve with printed lyrics, Is again, In really nice shape. Looks excellent, all apart from a very small slither of wear at the middle bottom edge, this Is not a seem split, It has not worn right through. There Is also a very small area of what looks like creasing, but oddly this Is not anywhere near the edges of the inner sleeve, but at the centre of one of the panels, & even odder Is that It only shows on the outer, If you open up the Inner sleeve & have a look Inside, there Is no trace of creasing at all, so I would guess that this small flaw happened during the printing process. This really Is a very minor fault to the Inner sleeve, nothing bad or unsightly at all.
This Is the original earliest card Inner sleeve, with 4 rounded corners, & a 9'' Inch slot at the top opening edge. Later copies came with a much flimsier perfectly square glossy paper Inner sleeve. The vinyl has spent most of It's days placed Inside a separate white poly-lined Inner sleeve, this has kept the original card Inner sleeve In great shape. When shipped, the album will be removed from the outer gatefold cover, this will avoid seem splits during transit.
I will only send this Item by recorded post. I pack my records very well Indeed. I do not use flimsy record mailers. I use layers of very strong rigid cardboard, & waterproof gaffa tape. The Item will reach you In the same condition as advertised & pictured.
