A tremendous 60's psychedelic 'Extended Play' 45 in nice shape.
THE PINK FLOYD as they were titled then, were an obscure outfit predominantly known only among the patchouli perfumed Afghan-coated 'UFO Club' regulars. Even they wouldn't be so Interested in the novel pop excursions such as Arnold Layne. However it was a catchy tune - enough for a few curious French listeners to spin.
The flipside "Interstellar Overdrive" was more like what was 'happening' with the psychedelic crowd, an avant garde artistic invention that was more about sound-effects and the light show. Far out and strangely hypnotic as a live piece, it was included on the debut lp 'Piper At The Gates Of Dawn' - where the pop tunes were not to be found.
It's an exclusive version to this EP and only released in France in this version. It makes up the whole flip side on this 7", and exists as a highly sought rarity.
It's special to find this EP after over 50 years in such great playing and sounding shape.
CONDITION;
The VINYL is visually EXCELLENT overall, having a couple of superficial surface scuff lines on the b-side... but not at all detectable on playback - which is just nice clear music throughout, on both sides.
Labels are in EXCELLENT condition.
The LAMINATED 'FLIPBACK' COVER grades EXCELLENT, the laminate has wrinkles at the left edge.
